Butterscotch (Scottie)'s story

　　When Butterscotch was a 2-month old puppy she was thrown away & dumped at shelter in KY. It seemed like her luck had changed & she was adopted by a family as a Valentines Day Gift Well that didnt work out either because just before Easter they returned her to the shelter because they said, Shes getting too big That is an often-used excuse for owner surrendering dogs, along with they have too much hair or they are not housebroken. Uummm, just like human babies they must be taught how to be potty trained. I could go on & on, but you get the idea.

　　We brought her into LNF Dog Rescue & the family was right

　　she is VERY big! She is only 6-months old & shes up to 45 lbs. Based on my years of experience I believe she will be at least 80+ lbs full-grown. So, if you love big beautiful dogs maybe Scottie is the girl for you. I believe she is a cross between Lab & Hound.

　　Her name fits her perfectly because her patches are exactly the color of butterscotch! Now that shes been professionally groomed --- under all the dirt from her former home -- we found she has a lovely shiny white.

　　She has LOTS of personality, very playful & sweet & loves people & especially loves other dogs. She can amuse herself all day playing with all her foster siblings. Her legs are still gangly & she still kind of trips over them but as she matures Im sure shell a very graceful young dog.

　　We have a professional dog trainer who comes twice a week & she works with all the dogs to teach basic training & leash manners. Im told she is doing very well. When she is out walking in the neighborhood people remark how pretty she is & that is very true.

　　Our adoption fee includes (30) days of FREE pet insurance with an option to purchase -- but it's your choice. We strive to provide the BEST medical care available so that YOU are assured all our pups/dogs are healthy, up-to-date on all necessary shots, spayed or neutered by our rescue.
