My story
BUTCH'S STORY
I came to Wags and Whiskers via an uncomfortably long trip through the animal shelter. I was brought to a shelter as an owner surrender because I managed to deglove my tail. For those of you that don't know, that is where the skin and fur are scalped off of the body somewhere. In my case, it was my tail. It is very painful and it was so bad that my tail had to be amputated. I had my surgery and now it's time to heal. I would love nothing more than to eat wet food in my own home away from the chaos. Looking for my furever home.

Thank you so much for looking into wags and whiskers for your next family member.
All of our pets are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested if over 6 months old and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home.
Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each dog. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left tied to a tree, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners. Please take into consideration that owning a pet is a 10+ year commitment and discuss with all members of your family before submitting an application to adopt.
If you have already filled out an online adoption application with our organization in the last 6 months you do not need to fill out another application. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment.
If you are interested in meeting this pet please apply to adopt at

if the pet is still available for adoption and you are approved to adopt we will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt BUTCH, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
