The Strap Story.
Many business selling straps develop their straps and make capacity claims based on the Breaking Strength of the webbing. The Working Load Limit, which is most important to the end user, is determined as 1/3 of the Breaking Strength. Example: A strap with 30,000 pound Breaking Strength has a Working Load Limit of 10,000 pound and the end user should purchase it and use it based upon the 10,000 pound rating.
Gray Area.
Breaking Strength of the webbing is NOT the very same as Breaking Strength of the strap assembly. The majority of straps have loops sewn into the ends for easy connecting. When you stitch into the webbing the attached connection is not as strong as the webbing itself. Some business continue to make Breaking Strength claims based on the webbing even though completion user gets the sewn assembly. Therefore the real Breaking Strength and Working Load Limit of the strap assembly are in fact lower than the claim. Bulldog does not play this video game. All our Breaking Strength claims are made based on our attached assembly!
Exactly what does this mean:.
1) you get what you actually paid for.
2) high quality and safe item.
