Buddy's story

　　Im Buddy, a handsome fox red male, about 90 pounds and 9 years young. I am looking for my forever home having had a few recent detours. I was adopted by a nice young family with kids, but I developed some medical issues they could not handle including seizures. The Desert Lab folks have fixed me up, seems the seizures were stress related, controlled with meds AND having a home with a canine companion. I am not currently having any seizures. I am a mellow guy; my crazy young (and jealous) labbie foster bro wants me to play constantly (....NOT!), tries to steal my kibble, etc. you get my drift but I just kind of ignore him. I do well with other dogs and kids. I have mild arthritis and lupus (on my sniffer), which is also under control. The lupus should limit my exposure outdoors, not a problem for this couch potato.

　　I was initially a pretty shy guy but within a few days I warmed up, am loving belly rubs and now follow my fosters around the house. Oh and I have a leash aversion, you put it on and I become a statue. My fosters are working on the leash thing, but not a biggie since I only have a low gear LOL. I am good in the house, crate is no problem. I have not mastered the doggy door, its on my short list. Phew, thats a lot of stuff but just say yes and this loyal, loving, mature sweet guy is ready to join you and your dog(s)!
