My story
01/03/20 10:49 Bubbles came to the shelter as a stray in very poor condition. Bubbles had a large mass on his flank that had ruptured and become infected. Whomever his caretaker was had apparently attempted to deal with the issue by wrapping the area in gauze, which had unfortunately only worsened the issue and caused additional injuries where the gauze was too tight. Fortunately, Bubbles received extensive veterinary care and is now a completely different dog! He is mostly healed and doing wonderfully. According to Bubbles' vet, the mass was removed with very good margins, so while it is possible it could return, it is unlikely. However, Bubbles' new owners should keep an eye out for any odd lumps and bumps and if noted, have them checked out by a veterinarian. It also does not appear that the cells from the mass have moved into any other parts of Bubbles' body, which is great news! Bubbles' is currently finishing up some medication but is otherwise fit and ready for his new forever home. Due to Bubbles' status as a stray we don't have any information on whether he has ever lived with other dogs, cats, or kids. While at the vet, however, Bubbles was noted to be extremely friendly towards the staff, constantly wagging his tail and socializing; they also indicated that he appeared to like other dogs.
