Bubbles 29891's story

　　Bubbles is a 10-year old, spayed, declawed (front only) female cat. While we do not classify Bubbles as 'special needs' she came to PAHS very overweight at 19.5 lbs; she needs a family who will feed her low-calorie food and encourage her to be active with interactive toys and play. Bubbles is a very sweet cat who has brown/white tabby markings and beautiful eyes. She has a calm spirit and personality, likes to be petted, is affectionate, and likes people. Please consider giving this special senior, big-boned gal a home in which she will thrive and be healthy! Bubs is available for adoption at the shelter.

　　You may remember our directed spay/neuter campaign this past spring--'Spay Neuter Autauga County'-- which was made possible by a $20,000 Petco Lifesaving Grant. PAHS has remaining funds from this grant and we are happy to announce that effective December 1, 2018 all adoptions will be reduced by half! For the month of December (as funds will allow) cat adoption fees will be $25 and dog adoptions $60. We are thrilled to offer this gift to the animals and people of our community. Upon partnering with Petco and receiving these monies, PAHS pledged to work toward 'live outcomes' with shelter animals; we believe half-price adoptions will fulfill this promise and is a great way to end the year! Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heartworm negative.
