His mother is a purebred Blue Heeler and his father is a Shepherd mix. Brumby weighs about 45#. Brumby does very well when he is placed in a crate and can go several hours before he needs a potty break. He has not been housetrained but that should not be a problem once he learns his new routine. He is getting the basics of leash training and waiting his turn for treats but will need more work on all of his manners. Brumby is timid of strangers and takes a little while to warm up to them. He is fearful of other dogs and will become defensive. He becomes very excited when he sees a cat and probably should not be in a home with cats. He is very active and will need lots of attention and exercise. He is also very vocal so would not do well in an apartment or where his barking would be a problem. He has been neutered and he is up-to-date on all of his vaccines, including rabies and bordatella. He tested negative for heartworms and has been on preventative since he was three months old.
