My story
Brownie is an around six year old Bassett mix. He is a low rider with a high capacity to love. This fella was born to be man’s best friend. He enjoys binge watching Netflix, eating, taking naps, smelling the yard, and howling to show his excitement. Brownie is house trained, leash trained, and rides well in a car. Although he doesn’t care for crate time, he does fine, and when left alone will require crating due to anxiety concerns. Brownie is low energy and is the “chill on the couch” champion. Brownie gets along well with other dogs and cats but has no desire to be a playful companion to another canine. Brownie lives, breathes, and adores his chosen person. Brownie suffers from anxiety, thinking that he is dying inside when his person leaves him, and requires medication to help him control his panic and fear. Brownie needs a family that understands the importance of his medication and its purpose in helping manage any behavioral concerns. Brownie has already been let down by two families that took him off his medication and then returned him when he started having undesirable behaviors. Brownie wants nothing more than to be someone’s sweet and devoted furever companion.
