My story

　　Foster Homes Needed!

　　Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog?

　　  Brendan is a black-and-tan hound mix, roughly 55 lbs.  Vets guessing as young as 5 and as old as 8, but his energy level is of a younger dog. 

　　Brendan fosters describe his as a sweet, affectionate, loving dog. They report  that he gets along great with the other hounds in the house. He is adapting to living in a home and navigating his way around new experiences.  Brendan wants to be close to his family and would be perfect for a family that wants a dog that can go for a long walk or run around the yard and then curl up and snuggle on the couch. He would enjoy going to a home with other dogs, but would do well as an only dog as well. Brendan does have a good amount of energy, but is calm in his crate, is housebroken, and sleeps well through the night. 

　　Brendan is undergoing treatment for heartworms. He has his second round of treatment in mid-December and will stay in his foster home until late January.  Brendan can go to a forever home starting in late January and would be perfect for any adopter looking for a goofy, loving hound dog who is grateful for a second chance in life.  Due to his heartworm treatment, Brendan won't be attending Mutt Love's weekly adoption events, but a meet and greet can be arranged with is fosters.  

　　**BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA**

　　We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at /application.html OR write to [email protected].
