BREACHER's story
Breacher is a sweet young man who found himself at the shelter because he played too rough with the children in his home. He loves playing with other dogs and being with people! Breacher does not like to be alone and will hurt himself if kenneled. His previous family kept him confined to one room when left alone. Breacher would love to find an interactive home that will bring him to obedience classes and help him direct his intelligence and energy in ways that his humans can appreciate!
UPDATE: Breacher spent a year in his most recent family''s home after being surrendered when the family experienced life changes that resulted in them being unable to keep Breacher. Breacher''s most recent owner states that he does well with children (although we would recommend a home with older children only, since he was too rambunctious in his original home for the kiddos), and excellent with women. Breacher reportedly has NOT done well with men other than his male owner, which is something that will need to be taken into consideration in his new home, where he may become protective of his family and view others as ''outsiders''. He does well with dogs that are respectful and friendly, but does not do well with those that are pushy or aggressive. He does not like cats, so should go to a home without feline friends. According to his most recent owner he has not been around small animals or livestock. Breacher is housebroken and will whine when he needs to potty; he knows ''sit'' and ''lay down''. Breacher rides well in the car, is outgoing and friendly, affectionate, and is an indoor dog. Breacher has gained TWENTY THREE pounds since his last visit here and needs to go on a significant diet to keep him healthy and fit. Breacher may need special food in order to maintain a good coat and healthy skin.
