Boxer - Phillip - Large - Young - Male - Dog

We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt // // Meet Phillip, born in May of 2012, who is a mixture boxer and hound (best guess). Phillip came to Second Chance Dog Rescue as a severely neglected guy with the worst case of demodex and pyoderma that our vet has ever seen. With a lot of TLC and an incredibly determined and diligent foster mom, Phillip has blossomed into a total lover of life, literally. Phillip LOVES people & older kids, he LOVES other dogs, LOVES people, LOVES even the goat! Seriously, he's just super grateful to be alive. Phillip is a big boy... 70+ lbs., so it's possible he could be up to 80 lbs. or so at adulthood. He's playful and energetic, but because of the months of medical rehab he didn't really have a lot of training during his younger months, so he's currently undergoing one-on-one charm school with Britta Staub of Aspire Dog Training to refine his manners and he's doing GREAT, in fact he's very close to reaching his Canine Good Citizen goal. We recommend, for continuity, that Phillip continue his training with Britta for a while after adoption. He'd be perfect for that energetic family - with or without older kids - who likes outdoor activities and wants a 4 legged companion to share them with. Phillip is up to date on shots, is neutered, and is microchipped. Adoption fee $200 All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog. We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information. All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog. Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home. Thank you for visiting our dogs located at
