Boxer - Grommet - Medium - Young - Male - Dog
GROMMET came to ARF after being abandoned and neglected. They moved and left GROMMET tied up on a heavy chain with no food, water or shelter. He was emaciated and in terrible condition when he arrived at ARF and weighed just 32 pounds. GROMMET is now a healthy 43 pounds! Despite his mistreatment, he is a gentle, sweet, and friendly soul. He is the ultimate "easy-going" dog. He is mild-mannered, but still with a friendly disposition. He gets along very well with other dogs and has never shown food or toy aggression or jealousy. He may get excited when he is around high-energy dogs, but with correction, he will calm himself down quickly. He is very obedient and submissive. GROMMET loves companionship and needs a special person(s) to help him regain his confidence and overcome his insecurities from his past life. GROMMET came into my home and easily fit into my routine. He is extremely easy to care for. We eat breakfast in the morning; go for our walk (he walks slowly and easily on a leash); and then he stays inside with his friend, Belle, until I return home from work. He has never chewed anything except a rawhide, which keeps him very content. He does not shed. He is extremely gentle and friendly with children and adults. GROMMET would be a wonderful addition to home with a calm and quiet atmosphere. He is a great companion. GROMMET is a male Boxer / Pit Bull Terrier mix and is approximately 2 years old (Mar. 2013). He is a medium size dog and weighs about 43 pounds. GROMMET is up to date on shots, neutered and micro-chipped. If you are interested in GROMMET, please contact us at
