Border Collie - Jade - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog

　　Miss Jade has called CARE home longer than any other of our pups looking for homes. She is a shelter staff favorite because she is sooooo incredibly people social. She thinks she is a lap dog and wants to just hang with her people. Her disposition is very stable and she loves her routine. She adjusts well and deserves to settle into her forever home. We recommend a home without cats or small animals. She can be left without incident because she is very calm- so working families come on by to meet her! She is dog selective and may thrive as the only dog in the home, however, if there is another dog in the house- she would require an adopter willing to give her time to meet, greet and get to know a doggie roommate- much like some cats (go slow and CARE's trainers will help implement a plan) She prefers male dogs- and not all of them, but once she settles into a home we have faith she can find her canine buddy. Jade LOVES to play fetch and can be tired out and focused using this game before cuddle time. She loves children and really all people- she is so special!
