I am an energetic boy, about 1
- 2 years old, 87% American Staffordshire Terrier. I am a big boy, at ~58 lbs. I came from a family that could no longer afford to keep me and unfortunately, I was abandoned in the woods for over a week
that was super scary! Luckily my foster Mom found me and I have been loved
and even arranged for me to have professional training so that I can be my best self! I love to play with my toys and chew on my nylabones. I would love a fur sibling (maybe a girl!) my size or bigger to play with in a fenced yard so I can play lots and get my exercise. I need a family that will spend their time with me, I am a captain-needy-pants but its because I am a really special boy who loves to be around his family. Like all dogs, I want to live inside the house as part of the family. My forever family should be experienced with my breed & continuing my training because I am strong and still learning. I do walk well on a leash, but I do pull some
like I said, I am full of energy and very curious! I LOVE to learn (I am super bright!) & I am VERY food motivated! I am loving and playful and I do a bit of talking when I am ignored; I just want to be the center of your world! My favorite person will be dedicated to me and give me lots of positive, constructive exercise, walks and people time. Sometimes I need some downtime because when I get too excited, I need my person to let me know and calm me down. My family should also know that I have some fear issues since I wasnt exposed to very much outside the 1-bedroom apt I lived in with my family of five (3 small children & 2 adults) so I had never seen a hose or an electric garage door or a pool and Im working through it but I am still a bid timid around some normal everyday things. My foster family is helping me work on these things in the meantime. Sometimes I do need my quiet time. I like to relax and chill out in my crate (its my hangout place for a couple of hours at a time with my nylabone and lots of cool water), I am very well crate trained. My new family needs to be caring & patient (because Im still learning) and they will soon see how much love I have to give them! If they just love me and take care of me, I will be so dedicated and loyal to them forever - I will be the most amazing lap dog! Boo is being fostered in La Honda. His adoption fee is $200.
