BOCO's story

　　Boco was surrendered to the shelter by his owner because they did not have time for him and he was barking and disturbing people. Boco may have spent a large amount of time in his kennel so may have some limited social skills- upon intake he was fearful and would posture to look tough, but he warmed up fairly quickly and is now doing well. Boco would benefit from extra socialization and basic obedience classes that will help him bond with his people and learn to face new situations, people and dogs with confidence. Boco reportedly does ok with children and adults (although they stated that he will get overexcited and bark and jump at people). Boco has never been around babies. Boco''s owner indicated that he plays well with other dogs but has never lived with cats, small animals or livestock and may chase them. Boco is outgoing and friendly, affectionate, and can play roughly when he gets excited. If left unattended he may become destructive, but as he is supposed to be kennel trained his owners can work with him on getting plenty of exercise to tire him out and keep him stimulated, and be properly contained when he cannot be directly supervised. Boco is a young boy who will do great if given positive direction in life!
