　　As a basic policy, you need to bring sufficient fenders to safely keep one side of the watercraft off a dock or wall. While some smaller boats can get away with 2 fenders, an excellent minimum would be 3 fenders. If leaving the boat for more than a day at dock, use 3 or even more; if one fender goes flat or is lost while the watercraft is unattended, the watercraft will scrub the dock or wall.
