　　Blue is a 5-year-old male Dachshund mix who has already been neutered. He is black with some white markings on his chest. Blue currently weighs 22 pounds. This is a very nice boy who is both friendly and affectionate. Blue gets along well with everyone including other dogs and children. 'Special Needs' has been indicated in Blue's profile because unfortunately Blue has screened heart worm positive and needs a foster home to hang out at while he is having heart worm treatments. PAHS will pay for his treatments and provide everything you need to foster Blue. He will need to be crated during his foster and be leash walked to go out to the bathroom; it is very important that Blue only have limited exercise during treatments. The foster should last about 4 weeks when his heart worm treatments are completed. If you believe you can help Blue out by being his foster home for a month please call PAHS between 11:00 and 4:00 and ask to speak to Shelter Director, Claudia Rigsby.

　　Dogs and puppies may be adopted for a fee of $120. All cats and kittens may be adopted for $25. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heartworm negative.
