Elwood is looking for his forever home. He is a Bloodhound and is 4 years old. He is up to date on his shots and is micro chipped and neutered.

　　He is a really big boy with a goofy loving personality. He loves his toys and will chase a ball or any other toy for as long as you are willing to throw it for him. He is very sweet and loving and just loves attention and going for walks. His favorite spot is being scratched behind his ears. He is great with kids but I would recommend older children just because he is so big that he might accidentally knock over a really small child without meaning to. He is good with our other dogs both big and small but I think he would do best in in a home as the only dog because he would really enjoy the one-on-one attention. We would like to find him a home with a large yard to run around in. he is a big boy and it wouldn?t be fair to keep him cooped up in a tiny space.

　　He is fully crate trained and sleeps in his crate every night. He has been mostly an outside dog with us but he does have some potty training work that was done with him. Our 6 year old daughter loves to drag him inside to play with him. If you wanted to make him an inside dog I sure he would love that. He would just need some time spent to finish his potty training.

　　We thought we had found the perfect family for him back in November but apparently that didn?t work out. We let them take him home to start bonding with their kids and they were going to pay us for him after their next pay day (we were asking his new owners to reimburse the cost of getting him fixed as the ?re-homing? fee). We told them we would change his micro-chip info over to them once they paid us. Well they never paid us then said they were having financial problems. We said we would always take him back if they didn?t think they could care for him. Then we never heard from them again. Long story short, we received a call from the pound (PACC) a couple weeks ago saying they had our dog, Elwood. They said he came in as an ?owner surrender? that couldn?t afford him anymore. his micro-chip information didn?t match the people that brought him in, instead it was our number so they called us. We immediately went and picked him up. After all of their impound fees etc, it cost us over $100 just to get him out of there.

　　Elwood is definitely overweight, but otherwise he seems no worse for the wear.

　　His new family will need to keep a close eye on his diet until he sheds the extra lbs. his energy level is down a bit due to the extra weight but with proper diet and exercise he should be back to his normal self in no time. (the pictures of him are from right before he went to his new home in November. i can get some current pictures of him for you if you like)

　　We are asking $200 OBO as a ?re-homing fee? for him to cover the initial cost of getting him fixed. Please, serious inquires only. This poor guy has been through enough in the last few months?he thought he had a new family then they just dumped him at the pound.
