My story
Blackie (A528717) is a HAS alumni who has unfortunately found his way back to the shelter. In his first stint at HAS he was fairly timid and took a while to open up with new people, but he has learned to be more confident and outgoing now. He needs some work on his leash skills but made quick progress once he settled down, and he`ll need someone to help teach him the basics. He`s more food-motivated now so it shouldn`t take long to teach him, however his love of treats has caused him to gain at least 10 pounds since leaving in the fall, weighing just over 70 pounds now. He has shown signs of being housebroken. He originally came in with another dog but has had to re-learn how to play with others which he`s getting the hang of. If he has a fursibling they may need to be tolerant as he learns to get along with them. He`s friendly with people and is a cuddler so he would be a good fit for someone looking for an oversized lap dog.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt BLACKIE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
