My story
Meet Birch, a 5-year-old male Pit Bull mix.Birch got his name because he was dumped at the shelter location on Birchfield rd.
When staff was out feeding the feral lot cats, Birch limped right up for pets.
He didn't seem to mind the cats and showed zero interest.
Once Birch got some attention he followed shelter staff straight in the back door.
Birch is a very handsome boy with a solid 65 pound build.
His history is unknown but he is limping and has a scar on one leg too.
Birch has a good boy condition so was eating regular meals prior to his abandonment. He is looking for a forever home with a nice yard and a comfy dog bed. This pet is available for adoption on 10/19/23 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at .If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Birch, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
