My story

　　You’ll fall head over heels for his lop-sided ears!

　　Hey, y’all!  I’m Billy, and I’m a 3-year-old, 41-pound Labrador Retriever Mix male.  I’m the sweetest boy there is, and I’m come all the way from San Diego, Texas, to meet my furever family! My one ear up and one ear down cuteness will win anyone over!

　　I’m already potty-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, and I’m scheduled to be neutered.  Generally, my health is pretty good, but I do have uveitis in my left eye that will need medication and regular trips to the Ophthalmologist for the rest of my life.  Currently, I’m on two eye medications – a 1% Prednisolone Ocetate eye drop and a Optixcare gel – which come to about $30-40 a month, depending on what pharmacy they’re purchased at. 

　　But enough about that! Let’s talk about me.  I’m a sweet and mellow guy who loves being around other doggie friends.  I can be a little shy at first, but once I’m given some time to warm up, my true personality comes out and shines! I love to play with and throw my toys around, take walks around the neighborhood, relax in my cozy bed, and get plenty of head scratches.  I also adore my hoomans, but I don’t mind being alone and having some time to myself.  In fact, I show zero signs of separation anxiety when you leave.  

　　I would be happiest to live in a household with other doggie siblings!  Kids would probably be A-OK, too, but I’m unsure about kitties at this time. I mean, I have seen them on the walks and been alright, so perhaps can be introduced to cats. Other than that, I’d prefer lots of rubbies and head scratches and be with a family who’ll love me as much as I would love them!
