58cm steel road bike up for sale.
The Frame is an Bianchi x4 Argentin not sure on the date its stamped d787 on the bottom bracket, the frames were Bianchi's top of the line in the late 80's and early 90's before aluminum frames took over. The frame is lugged Coloumbus SLX, steel, it was originally the Black and Celeste color but the guy I bought it from spray painted the Celeste portions white(terrible idea) I had it powder coated a bright green. The x4's were a top of the line limited edition item with nice engraved Bianchi logos on the head tube, seat stays, rear brake bridge and some more details on the lugs. Its a beautiful frame. Paint isn't perfect there a few scratches in the usual places.
I bought it as just the frame so it has none of the original parts except for the Dura Ace head set. The frame has nice Campagnolo horizontal drop outs, I rode it as a singlespeed/fixed gear for awhile. It's built up with modern road parts, Mostly Ultegra 6600 with Tru Vativ cranks and Tektro brakes. The wheels are on the heavier side but have been great for commuting. The bike looks great and should be a solid ride for many years to come.
