Betty is a 10 year old black schnauzer "wannabe" who is looking for a quiet retirement home. She came from an out of state shelter where she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and put on medication. Our vet is not seeing the usual signs of heart failure on Betty's xrays, but we have continued her medication. We are slowly working with Betty and the vet to determine exactly what medical issues Betty is facing. At 29 pounds, she is a big girl and may benefit from losing some weight, regardless of other medical issues, so that is our first goal. Betty is a sweet, calm girl who loves attention and a soft bed. We would love to find a foster home for her with a doggy door and a large fenced yard for her to wander around in. CAN YOU HELP?
Betty is spayed, she is up to date on her shots (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and micro chipped. If you would like to meet Betty, go to and complete either the adoption application of the foster application. We will give you a call to set up a time to bring Betty for a visit.
