Benson's story

　　**Benson is currently being fostered in HOUSTON. He is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. His tax-deductible adoption fee is $495 for non-local adopters, which covers his transport to his new family. He is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped.** Howdy folks! The name's Benson! I was kept on a chain most of my life and it was very lonely. Then one day my dad dropped me off at his mother's house and disappeared. Well, she was older and sick and couldn't take care of me so she took me to animal control to be euthanized. I was very sad because I have so much love to give. But I was one of the lucky ones! I was saved by Joyrides Rescue! Off I went to the vet to get all my shots, neutered and microchipped and now I'm looking for a family of my very own! I am extremely sweet and friendly. I am learning all about the world off the chain so I am still a little apprehensive when I encounter something new but if you give me a minute and tell me it's ok, I am pretty brave! I love other dogs and just light up when I see them. At the kennel, one of my caretakers brought her jack/pug mix to meet me and now we are besties - big or little (25+ lbs) I just love other dogs! I do like to play wrestle so if you have another dog, they need to be into wrestling too. I am pretty interested in cats so if you have a cat and they run, I will chase them. I love to get pets and give kisses! I also like car rides! But my most favorite thing in the whole wide world is playing fetch with my ball - I will play as long as you will. I like to go for a walk and I'm working on my leash manners. I have very shiny, beautiful fur and bright brown eyes. I have never been hiking but I think I would like it alot! I like to be where the action is and hang out with people and chill.
