My story
Benny is a sweet and shy 4.5 year old lab/hound mix weighing at about 47 pounds. He is microchipped, neutered, house trained, and would be best in a home with no small children or other dogs as they seem to increase his anxiety. Benny would be a sweet and loyal companion in the right home environment with the right owner! He is timid by nature and takes some time to warm up to new people. He was adopted from a shelter as a puppy and has always been wary of new people at first. But once he has time to warm up, he absolutely loves to be petted, cuddled and to sit right against your legs for the maximum amount of attention. If you scratch his back, he will even show you his dancing skills! He is a snuggler and would love nothing more than to curl up by your legs or next to you on the couch in the evenings. When he is left alone, he prefers to lay in his bed rather than be in a crate. He has an overall calm demeanor, but does love to be active. His favorite activities are to play fetch with his ball or frisbee, play tug of war, chew on his toys, swim, and go on walks in the neighborhood. He currently enjoys his yard, but it is not a necessity for Benny as he has lived without one before. He walks well on a leash and would be a great buddy for either hiking or walking.
