My story
Hello everyone, I am Bell Pepper! I came here with my whole pepper family. We are Fort Collins natives who are still getting used to the lives of domestic cats! When we first came into the shelter, we were very fearful of people and thought we were so tough and scary! With love, warm beds, treats, and a whole lot of patience, we've started to learn that people aren't that scary after all! I am sweet and was an excellent mother to my little peppers, but it's time we all find homes to call our own! It's taken a lot of patience, but I'm doing my best to teach my little peppers how wonderful and sweet people can be! I still startle easily at sudden movements, but I love to cuddle and rub up against you all day long. I'm as affectionate as can be and have the makings of an incredibly sweet lap cat with a little more patience and time.
One important thing to know about me is I'm FeLV+, more information can be found here: https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/feline-leukemia-felv-faqs
FeLV is transmittable to other cats so I can only live with another cat with FeLV, but it is not transmittable to humans or dogs.
