This is a beautiful vintage three piece dresser set by Val St. Lambert.
Designed by Charles Graffart probably in the 2nd quarter of the 20th century. It consists of three items: atomizer, jar with lid, and perfume with faceted stopper. All three peices are signed on the bottom Val St Lambert in etched script (wouldnt be Val St Lambert without it!). The Perfume Bottle and Atomizer have paper labels reading Val St Lambert/Belgique/Depose. All Three Pieces are Very Heavy for their Size and are Red (Cranberry) Cut to Clear.
The Powder Box, 12 sided bottom with alternating block and disc cut body with round top having star & panel decoration. 3 1/4" high x 6" diameter. Weighs: 4 lbs 3.3 ozs.
The Atomizer with chrome top and matching design. 6 1/2" high x 3 1/4". Weighs: 2 lb 5.5 ozs.
The Perfume bottle with stopper in matching design. 7" high x 3 1/2" diamerter. Weighs: 2 lbs 10.0 ozs.
All pieces appear to be in excellent condition with the exception of the stopper on the perfume bottle which has a chip at the base of the piece. There is some light scratching to the bottoms. The Atomizer is missing the squeeze ball and cord.
These were appraised in 2012 by a certified ISA CAPP appraisor for insurance replacement purposes at $2,250.00.
