　　Bullmastiffs were bred in England in 1860 for guarding large estates and game preserves. The Bullmastiff is fearless and confident, yet remains docile and sweet-natured with his family. They are natural guardians of the home, but do not bark much, as silence was a virtue when guarding estates. Bullmastiffs are very laid back dogs that love hanging around the house with the family. They are very smart and trainable.
