Bear's story

　　Bear is a 7/8 year old GSD that has had a rough time of it the past year or 2. His beloved owner was forced into assisted living and had to give him up. He went to a family that loved him very much, but unfortunately didn't have the means to care for him. Bear ended up chained up outside and in dire need of medical attention. Grass Roots was contacted and we were able to take him in, find him a foster and get him into the vet right away. Bear was very malnourished, infested with fleas and struggling to use his back end. Vets determined he has the beginning stages of Degenerative Myelopathy...BUT...Bear does not let it slow him down. He loved everyone and loves to play ball, chase rabbits and spend time with his family. Would love to see this older guy get a forever home to live out his days in.
