My story
Meet Bear! Bear is a friendly and cuddly 7-8-year-old, 18-pound male corgi/terrier mix from Alabama. He is housebroken and is a good boy when left alone at home. He looooves his humans! Little Bear enjoys strolls around the neighborhood. He loves pets and cuddles, and will hang out under the bed when you're gone. He's just recently discovered how much fun toys can be and his foster is working on teaching him to fetch and tug.Bear prefers to be your only four-legged love, and our play based trainer is helping his foster to curb Bear's dog reactivity on walks by including fun games that make him more confident and comfortable around dogs. He's been doing great with his training and now ignores other dogs/remains neutral on walks. Although Bear was born with a congenital defect affecting his back legs- it doesn't slow him down one bit. He hop-runs around like a bunny! Our vet determined that it isn't causing him pain and he doesn't need surgery. The best family for Bear would be people with no young children or other dogs who are willing to continue working with our trainer to ensure a successful transition. We believe he would benefit from a quiet neighborhood.Vaccinated for rabies, DA2PP, lepto, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention due 9/8.Please contact us DIRECTLY using the instructions below if you are interested in adopting one of our Waggytails!
