This is Topper, a 9 to 10 month old male Beagle mix puppy. He has a beautiful tri-color coat with black ticking. His body is a little shorter and longer than a standard beagle so we think there is a little terrier in him. He is small, weighing only 18 pounds and he will not get much if any bigger. Topper was pulled from our local animal shelter where he had been picked up by Animal Control and no one came to claim him. This is hard to believe because he is just the sweetest dog. Topper is very social, friendly and pretty easy going. Oh, he gets excited but in a fun way. Topper is still a puppy so he will need some training and structure to help him develop into a well-mannered adult dog. But he is on his way to being that. Topper should be ok in an apartment as long as he gets daily walks for exercise. He must be on a leash or in a fenced in yard because if he catches a scent, he will be gone! Topper should be good with children and seems to be fine with other dogs. We have started him on his crate training. Topper is up to date on his vet care, neutered, heartworm negative and is micro chipped. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. What an adorable dog who will be his lucky owner?!
