　　Shiloh wants to make your home complete!

　　Shiloh is a very sweet five year old female beagle (mix?). She has a beautiful white coat with black and rust markings. And her ears are a tad longer it seems than most beagles so she may have a bit of Bassett in her. Shiloh weighs 24 pounds. She was pulled out of our local animal shelter where she had been picked up by Animal Control as a stray and no one came to claim her during the month she had been there. Shiloh is very loving and demands attention from you! She is a bit shy at first but warms up very fast. She is pretty easy going and calm but when she wants your attention -- she will call you! As with most beagles, she can howl with the best of them. Because of this, we do not think she will do well in an apartment setting in case she gets too vocal. We think Shiloh is hard of hearing/partially deaf. She does not respond to noise behind her so when trying to get her attention, you need to be in front of her. For commands, best to work with hand signals/movements versus voice. This will make for more of a challenge in dealing with her, but she is so sweet and loving, we believe she is worth it! Shiloh should be great with children and is good with other dogs, we don't know about cats. She will make a wonderful companion animal. Because she is a scent hound, she will require a fenced-in yard. Shiloh likes to ride in the car and is well-behaved on the leash. She loves everyone and is very affectionate and loves cuddling and being petted. We are working on Shiloh's crate training. Shiloh is up to date on her vet care, spayed and is heartworm negative. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Shiloh is ready to be part of a loving family so come adopt her while you can! *********Update from foster family********* Oh boy, what fun! Shiloh is full of fun and life and is a true sweet loving beagle that loves being with other dogs and kids and loves the attention of adults. However, Shiloh is deaf and will need special attention and a watchful eye. She is up to date on vet care and is on heartworm and flea and tick prevention. Shiloh is crate trained and housebroken. She also walks wonderful on a leash, and loves car rides. Shiloh loves people, peoples attention, petting and tummy rubs. As a pack animal she learns from my beagles how to behave in the house and yard and find comfortable spots to snooze. Shiloh and my dogs play in the yard, chase each other, chew sticks and soak up the sun. Shiloh enjoys leash walks either alone or with other dogs. She normally takes care of business outside but occasionally messes her crate if she is frustrated or left for a long time. Being an animal that needs attention she will yelp if people are out of sight but still nearby. She also needs to learn which items in the house should not be chewed. She is a pretty, friendly animal that will make a great pet.
