　　Visit us on Facebook! Neko needs a loving home to bring him out of his shell! This sweet shy boy is Neko, a 8 to 10 month male old beagle/terrier/hound mix. Neko has a handsome black, white and rust smooth coat. He is still very 'leggy' but weighs only 26 pounds. He will probably get a little bigger and fill in some, so may get to around 35 pounds or so. Neko was pulled from our local animal shelter where he had been picked up as a stray by Animal Control. Neko had been down there for over a month and a half and no one came to claim the cutie. Then he was put on the 'urgent' list so we had to get him out so he would be safe and sound! Neko is a timid soul at first but loves attention and to be with you. He is pretty calm, easy going and submissive. But Neko is still a puppy and will need training and socializing to help him develop into a well mannered adult dog. He will need some exercising to get his puppy energy out and will require a fenced in yard. Neko is a scent hound and will take off following a scent then not know how to get back home. Neko should be good with kids and is good with other dogs, we don't know about cats. We have started him on his crate training. Neko is up to date on his vet care, neutered and is heartworm negative. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Look at that sweet face -- how can you resist taking this dog home??!! Update from foster home:

　　He loves his crate. He goes in willingly in the morning and night to eat, and sleeps well in it. He whined the first couple nights for a lil bit. We would just get up and talk to him, pet him for a couple minutes till he settled in. Or cover it a lil bit so be felt more secure. He is in the process of learning to come when called and learning to sit. Neko is very high energy, and very playful. We are finding more and more that as long as you sit and cuddle with him he will cuddle with you. He is also very smart!
