　　The APC Battery Pack is a standalone unit that plugs into the main unit to double battery capacity.

　　Each unit takes two 24V batteries (48v total for the main UPS and 48v for the Battery Pack.

　　The UPS runs on regular 120v AC with a special plug.

　　Batteries are not included with these units - you will need to purchase new batteries.

　　The battery retailer, Batteries Plus, say they can create custom battery packs and custom harness much cheaper than buying original-type batteries.
