Basset Hound - Maddie - Medium - Senior - Female - Dog

　　Maddie is an owner-surrender and is having a painful and confusing transition, since she was a member of her former family for the 8 years of her life. Maddie is very fearful, but does warm up with sensitive handling. She needs to go to a home with no small children and with someone who will offer warm and understanding care. She is currently overweight, carrying around 60 pounds on her very short legs, so we will be making dietary changes in order to establish a better fitness level. Maddie gets along well with other dogs.
