My story
Basha came to the shelter as a stray on 12/17/22. We think she is about 4 years old and with her blue eye, merle coat and bob tail, appears to be predominantly Australian Shepherd. Basha is a little timid and tends to cower in her kennel when new people approach her but she warms up quickly and is always happy and excited to greet the people she`s familiar with. Basha has been introduced to several other dogs and has done well with every meeting. She wants to play but is also submissive with other dogs. We have walked her through our cat area as well and she seems to be scared of cats. She retreated and cowered when the cats hissed at her. We sent Basha to be spayed and found out she is heartworm positive. We have started the first phase of heartworm treatment and may be able to assist an adopter with some of the cost of continuing heartworm treatment. It would be best for Basha to be settled into a home before she begins the injections to kill the adult heartworms. Thanks to a generous donor, my adoption fee has been reduced to $80.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt *BASHA*, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
