Basenji - Winslet - Medium - Young - Female - Dog

　　WINSLET, aka WENDY, is a sweet, fun, friendly and loving girl. She is a female Basenji/Foxhound mix and is approximately 2 years old (Mar. 2012). She is a medium sized dog and weighs about 43 pounds. When WENDY arrived at ARF she had been living on a backcountry road eating road kill in order to survive and feed her puppies who she had hidden in a burned out shed. She was a loving and caring mother despite her poor health at that time.

　　WENDY has been living in a home for the last year and has been a delight to be around. She loves to play tug of war with her best friend, a dachshund mix, and then snuggle up to the closest person for a belly rub!! She loves all people including children. WENDY is also good with cats, although she would prefer they play with her instead of ignoring her!! She is also crate trained, house trained and knows sit and stay.

　　WENDY is an energetic girl who walks well on leash but does love her squirrels and birds!!! She would benefit from someone who leads an active life style and could include her in it. She would also need to be in an only dog home or one without another dominant female. WENDY is a happy dog that would make someone a wonderful, loving companion!!
