Barney: Terrier Scruff NEEDS home; cute but doesn't like...
Oct 17, 2024
Description

Two year old, 14 pound Barney is a Terrier mix for sure. He has a Cairn look about him, but could be another type too. No, he's not a purebred or fancy-dancy dog. He's a bit of a scruffy mutt. Before he's adopted we will get him proper grooming. But this photo posted here seems to capture something of Barney's character--call it a relish for life(or for a treat?). Barney does delight in people, places, life's 'moveable feast.' As long as what's moving is not another dog. On the other hand, Barney has shown an affection for and good conduct with children. In general, Barney is well-behaved, a good solid bet for a household that does not need a show dog, but just a plain old good companion dog. Please help this little stray find his way home! If you can foster for now, we, and he, would be so grateful. Barney is not well-suited to life among so many dogs; that is, shelter life!

To foster, adopt, or meet up with our dogs, please fill out an application at the Northern California "Family Dog Rescue" website:

There you will get more information about a particular dog and learn about our San Francisco-based, non-profit rescue. If you fill out an adoption or foster questionnaire online, we will get back to you quickly. For general questions you still have AFTER visiting our site, please email us at the contact address you will find on our site. The volunteer who posts here does not handle adoptions, fosters, or questions involving that process. Thank you for your patience!

There are no fees to foster and we will provide you with support as needed, including food if requested, vet care, and we will be glad to respond to concerns on an ongoing basis. Fostering is really key to our ability to rescue dogs! You can play a vital role in socializing a dog so as to better his or her chances of finding a forever home.

The fee to adopt is on a sliding scale and generally includes spay/neuter, micro-chip and up to date shots.
