BANDIT IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE!
Bandit is just over a year old and is an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix.
Bandit was found abandoned on a back road in sub-freezing temperatures. A Good Samaritan found him and stayed with him until Animal Control was able to pick him up.
Upon his arrival we learned that he has soft tissue damage to his leg that stems from his previous living conditions. This requires that he be kept as low-key as possible.
At this time he can only be outside on a leash until his injury heals. He was in play group with other dogs and loved it but because of his injury we had to take him out of it to rest and help it heal.
Bandit has come a long way since hes been with us and is currently taking obedience classes. He amazes us every day and is SOOO smart. He has a lot of energy and typical puppy mischief. Bandit is good with dogs and seems ok with most people- a little suspicious at times. He is the type of dog who really needs a job to stay busy.
Bandit would LOVE his forever home to include a couch to cuddle on with his owner(s). HE WOULD LIKE HIS NEW OWNER TO BE EXPERIENCED as he does have some resource guarding issues that we have been working on and because of his terrible treatment in his previous life he will need his new owner to be willing to continue working with him. And please, no children.
He is house trained, UTD on vaccinations, and neutered.
