BALTI's story

　　This is becoming more URGENT by the day! Almost an EMERGENCY. Please even if you can foster.

　　ROCHESTER, NY - GOOD WITH LITTLE DOGS IN HOME ***FREE***

　　Meet Balthazar but he often is called balti or nard. This big boy is 6 years young. His Birthday is on October 31st.

　　He weighs 155 pounds. He's neutered and also has had gastropexy to prevent bloat. He just recieved all his shots from the new adopters. He's house broken. He's been a very loved and spoiled dog he had trouble with matted hair and multiple hotspots that are now mostly healed. Probably an allergy issue. The one hip is a problem and has hip dysplasia in that hip. But still enjoys walks, swimming, and does stairs. He has always been an inside dog. He must remain so. He has shown no sign of food aggression. He does show a bit of separation anxiety by barking and crying, no damage to anything in the house.

　　He loves car rides if you leave your car door open by accident he will get in and you have to take him for a drive before you can get him out. He has been around children over 12. He has lived with two cats and he was fine with them, but outside of the house he does lunge after cats if he sees them. So a lot of caution needs to be taken around cats until you truly know how he will react. He has spent most his life going to doggie daycare 2 or 3 times a week, we are told. He was adopted into a home that has a Great Pryness and at first she made it known that it was her space. But then seemed to get over it but he will not get along with her. Their have been fights. The new adopters have tried many things and nothing has worked to improve their relationship thus far. The recommendation is that he not live with other large dogs. He has lived with 3 small dogs and has done well with them. He is super around people and loves them very much. He is docile but enjoys activities as well.
