My story
Please go to our website at to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application. Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Health Notes | No health concerns. Other Dogs | Zoe gets along with most dogs, but slow introductions are a must. She is working with a trainer to learn how to share her space and belongings with other dogs.Cats | We do not recommend Zoe live in a house with cats.Children | Great with kids! Zoe is gentle and patient with young children. Training | Zoe sits with the command stay. She’s fully potty trained and is crate training. It’s not her favorite, but she goes in her crate with treats & a peanut butter kong. She’ll bark for a minute, then stop and sleep through the night. You could continue crate training her, but she would love to sleep on a bed near you too. Zoe has started working with a trainer to help with resource guarding. We understand why she exhibits these behaviors considering she had her puppies on the streets, but it's important for her adopter to understand it will take time to address these behaviors and make Zoe feel safe. Leash | She LOVES walks and is pretty good on a leash. Being outside is her happy time. She would love an adopter that will take her on daily walks. Activity Level | Foster mom says her activity level is a medium. Not as crazy as most labs, but still playful and on the move. Zoe has learned to play and will toss her bully stick in the air. She will fetch a few times. She loves being outside! She is also big on chewing bones, so she has several that she bounces between.Personality | Zoe is awesome! She would love a home where she gets a lot of attention, is kept busy, and gets to continue learning about the world. Story | Zoe and her puppies were found as strays in Houston, TX. They were minutes away from euthansia in a high-kill shelter when we saved them. Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $475. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. February 9, 2023, 8:31 pm
