Bailey's story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Bailey was adopted from ACT at the age of four months. She recently came back via another shelter where she was surrendered by her family. Her surrender form indicates she was having issues with another dog in the house but we don't have any details because the owners neglected to contact us and won't respond to our inquiries. They did indicate she doesn't have any issues with cats.
Our early assessment of her involved placing her in a play yard with other dogs. She seems to us to be insecure with other outgoing, friendly dogs. She did some "back off" snapping and didn't really welcome their invitation to play. She did not attack anyone or give us any reason to think she would. We will continue working with her.
She is a sweetheart and would do great in an only dog home. We think that with the right match, she probably could live with another dog. We will know more as we continue to work with her.
If you are looking for a "one and only" we think she would do great as a family dog. Her list of commands include: sit, stay, fetch (go get it), down, and off. This is from her family, we have not confirmed. They also described her as loyal (as they surrendered her), loveable, and protective.
