My story
Bacon has become a staff and volunteer favorite! Unfortunately, this does mean that he has been in the shelter for a long time. Please read below for more information about Bacon and we encourage you to come and meet him at the shelter or call the director if you would like to ask some questions first (High Country Humane, Director #). He walks well on the leash, loves hikes and running at the park. Bacon is potty trained in the shelter and the home :). He loves toys and is very playful and affectionate. He is an Australian Shepherd Mix- we feel that he needs a job and an owner who understands this breed. He would do best in a home/ranch/property with a yard and space to be the dog he's meant to be. We feel a home with a single owner would be best, no other dogs or children. Bacon has done great in play groups, but not when living in a home with another dog. He does do great with cats.
The staff at the shelter (11AM - 5PM, 7 days/week) can provide more information about Bacon's needs, and how we can help support his next adoption being his last hopefully - one that sticks. His adoption fee is $25, he is neutered/vaccinated/microchipped. Please come in to meet Bacon. We know the right home is out there for him and he's patiently waiting to meet you.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bacon, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
