am rehoming my weaned four month old Shamrock Macaw. I have had him/her since 2.5/weeks of age. It began hatching on May 19 and complete freed itself on May 20. It's parents fed him the first 2.5 weeks. Mother is a Scarlet and father is a Military or Buffons. I handfed and weaned it onto Mazuri pellet, dried fruit, nuts- no peanut!, and fresh food. It loves baked Irish potatoes and sweet potatoes. Walnuts, pecans, and slivered almonds are favorites. It flies to me to be loved on and it a major cuddler. It has not gotten to the nippy stage yet but that is to come. It loves to give kisses and curl up on hour chest. It also flies to me as soon as I walk into a room. It lands on my shoulder. You must have some experience with big birds, have a suitable cage and perch. I use water bottles so a water bottle is good to have also. You must also feed pellets. I can give enough to transfer to another brand if you prefer to feed another brand. Seeds are not a choice! I am always scared to sell a bird because I want it to have a permanent home. They are loving and difficult creatures that must have daily attention. This one is starting to say Hello. If you want to dedicate yourself to a bird, this is a great one to have. Please do your research. Rehoming is $1600. I will go down if you come here. You must have a setup before you get with bird.
