BABY's story
Baby was surrendered to the shelter after an incident in the home where another larger dog latched onto her bark collar and drug her around, causing a rather nasty laceration to her neck that her owners were unable to afford to repair. Baby is quickly healing from her injury and loves to snuggle! She is super sweet girl who would love a nice quiet home to enjoy her golden senior years. She loves to go for walks even in the winter and loved to play ball when she was younger. Baby could stand to lose a fair amount of weight- the more fit she is, the less strain she will put on her joints as she ages. If Baby gets on a successful exercise and diet plan she might even start to enjoy short rounds of fetch again! A visit to the vet could also be helpful (free vet exam coupon in her adoption packet!) as they may be able to suggest a good weight loss diet and joint supplements to keep Baby in tip top shape. Baby is known to be good with other dogs and cats but a mutual visit with any other dogs in the home is recommended before adoption to ensure she is a good fit.
