I charge a small $25 diagnostic fee. This is a one time fee AND IS NONREFUNDABLE but can be applied to the job if we agree that work is to be done. This is basically to cover gas. Yes, I can come to you, however if its a motor job or more time consuming I would prefer to work from my garage as to ensure I have use of all the proper tools. I want to help you get your vehicle in good running order, as I know its a must have in today's world. I charge only for my labor and have you buy the parts. Now, I can purchase them with the money and furnish receipts or you can get them and bring them with.
