Australian Shepherd - Red The Red Heeler - Small - Young

　　Red is an Akita/Red Heeler mix to the best of our knowledge. She and 4 beautiful puppies approx. 3-4 months old were stuffed into a plastic dog carrier and thrown off of a moving truck. They were skinny and frightened when they arrived at a good sameritains house. They have been at the rescue for about 2 weeks now and are in good health...no injuries...and have had their first shots. There are 2 males and 2 females in this litter. Red doesn't appear to be much more than a puppy herself...maybe a year old. She is beautiful and very smart. Knows how to sit and stay. She does have a fairly high prey drive though. With some time and training she'll make a great family dog and so will her puppies! UPDATE: 1/2/12...one of the female pups was adopted today! Only one female left.
