Australian Shepherd - Jake - Large - Adult - Male - Dog

　　Jake is an Aussie/Catahoula mix born in April of 2006. He is DEAF, but sees just fine. He has beautiful eyes. He is a very friendly boy and loves to play with his foster brothers and sisters. He is a big guy at 65 pounds. Jake learns very quickly and is easy to train. He plays well with other dogs but can be a bit pushy with his nose when initiating playtime, so a doggie companion that's not overly dominate would be best. Although he does well with children, since he could easily knock over a small child, a home with older children is recommended. Jake would love to have an active home that will take him on lots of adventures. He would be a great hiking, camping and jogging companion. We think he has agility potential, as he has no fear of going over or through obstacles. This is one smart boy who will require lots of mental stimulation to keep him busy! Jake is crate trained and rides well in the car.
