Australian Shepherd - Chewy - Medium - Adult - Male - Dog

　　Chewy is a loyal guy who likes attention. He also requires a large amount of exercise- in fact, when he does not get enough exercise he can be nervous, anxious and show signs of frustration. He is incredibly dog social but he has a fear of some strange people and this fear seems to increase the less he is worked with. He also tends to show signs of fear when he has not been exercised. Chewy will do best in a dog savvy home with someone that is willing to be out with him as a team and set him up to succeed through continued training. Once he learns he is safe and he has choices- Chewy relaxes and is happy and loves being around new places and people but it takes work to get him there. He ignores the cats here at the shelter. Being of herding breed descent, we think he'd do best in a home without small children. We are open every day except Monday, 10:30-5. Our phone # is .
