Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) - Z**courtesy Post** Riley

　　Riley is a 4 year old red Queensland mix. He is a big boy weighing 70lbs at his recent vet appointment. We got Riley from Payson Humane Society 3 years ago just a couple of days after our male Queensland passed away to help keep our female Queensland company. He was very shy and afraid of people when we got him. He warmed up to me and loves the kids very much. He is still skittish around my husband and other men but if you sit down or kneel down he will come right to you. He isn?t a fan of cats as he will chase them and not sure what would happen if he caught one. He is crate trained since we lived up north in the snow and he would come in on the cold winter nights and stayed in a kennel. He spends most of his time outdoors and loves to run around, chase birds and play with other dogs. Unfortunately Riley has started to stand over my elderly male Pug and bully him. Recently he grabbed him and shook him. He hadn?t ever done this before and hasn?t touched the younger two more playful Pugs. However, we have recently moved to a house where we only have one fenced yard and we cannot separate him from the Pugs easily so I cannot take any chances of him hurting the smaller dogs. He would be great in a home with other large dogs and kids as he loves to play very much.
